
Journalism and Social Communication
If you want to influence the world, tell important stories and shape opinions – journalism and social communication is the major for you. The study combines knowledge of media, PR, marketing and new technologies. You will learn to create content for press, radio, television and the Internet, work with images, sound and words, analyze media messages and build effective communication. You will develop writing, rhetorical, analytical and interpersonal skills, as well as gain practical experience in media and communication institutions. This is a major for people who are curious about the world, creative and ready for action – a great start to a career in media, PR, marketing, culture or politics.

Educational requirements
Foreign Secondary School Certificate / IB / EB diploma / Polish "matura" certificate
Competition on the basis of secondary school certificate – the result of the written test is scored on the two of following subjects:
a) English language or native language (50% of the final result) and
b) one of the following subjects: mathematics, foreign language, history, civic education, geography, Latin and ancient culture, history of art, history of music or philosophy (50% of the final result). If an applicant passed more than one of the above subjects, the best result is taken into consideration.
Legalization/recognition of educational documents issued abroad
Required documents
In addition to a Secondary School Certificate a candidate is also required to submit:
- a certificate confirming English language proficiency at B2 level: (see the list)
* the written part of Polish matura examination in English language at the advanced level with the result 60% or higher is tantamount to a certificate confirming English language proficiency at level B2
