Crossroads of Covenant: Christian-Jewish Dialogue and its multifaceted implications

About the course:
The Heschel Center at KUL launches a new project It’s a course entitled “Crossroads of Covenant: Christian-Jewish Dialogue and its multifaceted implications.” It’s open to everyone, online, and free of charge. The course will be taught by Dr. Faydra Shapiro, who has been lecturing at universities in Canada, the United States, and Israel for over 25 years.
Due to the international nature of the project, the course will be conducted in English. The classes aim to deepen knowledge about the shared history of Christianity and Judaism, reflect on the religious and cultural identity of both traditions, and develop interfaith dialogue skills.
The course is aimed at anyone who wants to consciously participate in the contemporary discourse on Christian-Jewish relations in the context of pluralism, secularization, and cultural change.
The duration of the course “Crossroads of Covenant: Christian-Jewish Dialogue and its multifaceted implications” is 30 teaching hours. Meetings will take place on the MS Teams platform in the afternoons. Each participant will receive a certificate of completion in Polish and English.
About the lecturer: Dr. Faydra Shapiro – educator, researcher, and activist focusing on relations between Judaism and Christianity. For over 25 years, she has been lecturing at universities in Canada, the United States, and Israel. She is the author of numerous articles, both academic and popular, on the relationship between Judaism and Christianity.
The course is scheduled for 30 teaching hours. The meetings will take place on the MS Teams platform in the afternoons. Each participant will receive a certificate of completion in Polish and English.
